F3 Katy, TX Region is honored to host F3 Nation’s GTE 034 “The Crucible”
The GrowRuck Training Event will be held in Katy, TX on December 9-10-11, 2022.
Events will be held in various locations throughout the Katy, TX area.
What is a GrowRuck Training Event (GTE)?
GTEs are designed to help Men accelerate their leadership journey and reinforce becoming HIGH IMPACT MEN through the 3 Fs: Fitness, Fellowship and Faith.
During a GTE, we leave no man behind and leave no man where we find him. In other words, we struggle together to become better men for our communities and our families.
The cost breakdown to participate in the full weekend:
1) Friday night Rally is FREE - (optional $30 wrist band if you want 3 x beers and BBQ)
2) Saturday morning “King Builder BD” is FREE - EH those FNGs!
3) Saturday morning “Grow School” is $50 - Breakfast provided!
4) Saturday afternoon “IMPACT RUCK” is $75 (includes “Grow School”)
5) Saturday Night “GTE” is $175 (includes “Grow School”)
6) DOUBLE TAP is $200. (includes “Grow School”, “IMPACT RUCK” and “GTE”)

Grow School – Saturday December 10
GrowSchool (G3LT) is a Schooling session during which the four quadrants of Preparedness (Get Right, Live Right, Lead Right, Leave Right) are taught in a classroom environment by the GrowRuck Trainers.
This phase will be streamed for the 1st time ever to reach as many PAX as possible worldwide.
Time: Arrive at 0800 to 1130 (8:30-11:30 AM)

IMPACT RUCK – Saturday December 10
STARTEX Time: 1230 to 1700 (12:30 to 5:00 PM)

Inaugural IMPACT RUCK, Katy, TX region and GTE has been chosen to test this phase and we encourage anyone new to rucking to participate, especially if they are AOQs or potentially becoming AOQs – hint-hint!
There will be physical exertion, your mind and body will be put to the test, leadership acceleration is imminent.
The IMPACT RUCK has a duration of 4 - 5 hrs, 6-9 miles and the gear + required packing list is below:
1) Ruck (suggested minimum volume: 25L)
2) 20 lb Weight* this is dry wt, preferred method is a plate
3) 3L of water
4) Reflective bands on Ruck
5) 1x Carabiner suitable for climbing
6) Photo ID
7) Work Gloves
8) 1 x MRE - complete meal - NOTE: a sandwich is not an MRE -
GROWRUCK “THE CRUCIBLE” STARTEX – Saturday December 10
Time: 1800 (6 PM)
Location: F3 - Garden of Pain / Crusade AO located at 700 Mason Creek Trail, Katy, TX 77450
GTE034 -THE CRUCIBLE is considered a CSAUP (Completely Stupid and Utterly Pointless) Event; during this phase the Leadership Skills of the individual GrowRuck Participants and the Teamwork of the Class is Accelerated through intense physical exertion.
Arrive NO LATER THAN 1730 (5:30pm) for equipment check and formations. Start time may change. This phase will conclude Sunday 11 morning probably between 0900-1000 (9-10am).
GROWRUCK – THE CRUCIBLE has a duration of 14-16 hrs, 15-20 miles and the gear + required packing list is below:
1) Ruck (suggested minimum volume: 25L)
2) 30 lb Weight* this is dry wt, preferred method is a plate
3) 6L of water
4) Headlamp with red light & extra batteries
5) Reflective bands on Ruck
6) 1x Carabiner suitable for climbing
7) Photo ID
8) Work Gloves
9) Qty 10 3x5 Index Cards + 1 x pencil + 1x Pen - all inside a ziplock bag

Parking details
1). Clown Cars are mandatory or “strongly suggested”
2). 115 parking spaces in the front of Bramans. Please do NOT use the back parking as that is reserved for another party.
3). We have reserved overflow parking at Ace Hardware located at 11818 Mason Rd, Richmond, TX. It is 1 mile from Bramans.
We will have a shuttle connecting the two sites if demand requires.

GROWRUCK – THE CRUCIBLE - PT TEST
Any PAX "toeing the line" in this flagship leadership event will have a fitness test to assess where they stand regarding minimum physical requirements, prepare for crushing it, not to just pass it.
Failure of this test will have consequences - Cadre Linus
PT Test is a modified APFT ( Army Physical Fitness Test )
- 2 min AMRAP of Hand Release Push Ups ( F3 Hand Release Merkins) - Passing Score of 42
- 2 min AMRAP of Butterfly/Abmat style sit ups ( F3 Big Boy Situps/Butterfly Sit ups) - Passing Score of 53
- 2 mile run - passing score of 18 min ( this is not an F3 Mosey)
