We are excited to share that the 2025 North Hills 5K race beneficiary is a local non-profit, Note in the Pocket.
Note in the Pocket focuses on providing quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love. Both Note in the Pocket, and Trinity Baptist Church, believe it is unacceptable that children are limited in their educational and social development because they do not have appropriate clothes for school. The organization partners with school social workers and human service agencies in the Triangle to distribute clothing to children and families experiencing homelessness and economic hardship.
The 2025 North Hills 5K race proceeds will be donated to Note in the Pocket, as they support over 200 schools across Wake County. According to the Wake County Public School District Facts report, as of December 2024, there were 56,227 WCPSS students identified as living in poverty and who qualified for Free or Reduced-Priced Lunch.
Please join us on Saturday, September 6, 2025, as we raise funds and awareness to make a difference for children and families experiencing homelessness and economic hardship in our own community.
