Now in its seventh year, this event consists of a 5K held to raise funds for the Malawi Children’s Initiative.  Over 300 entered the race in 2024.

The event is held in Southern Village in Chapel Hill – 300 Market Street for your GPS. The race begins at 9:30 am.

Luke Houser led all finishers last year after completing the course in 18.11. Chloe Solum won the women’s competition with a 21:01 effort.

Awards will be presented to the top three male finishers, to the top three female finishers and to the top finishers in each of the following age groups; (both sexes) 12-under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over.
