Hello {FirstName} {LastName},
Countdown: 9.5 Hours
Hopefully are you sleeping already, but for some last minute reminders:
Arrival Time
Please plan to arrive at the race site by 5:30am...which means no later than 5:15am at the remote lot. If you arrive later, there may be large traffic backups that cause you stress, too little time for warm-ups/pre-race photos/porta-potties/bag-check, and you possibly not getting positioned in the start corral where you want to be. (Note: We don't require you to be there at 5:30am as there is no race-day check-in, but we recommend planning that arrival time.)
Reminder: It will be dark out for all the pre-race prep. Dawn is precisely at 7:00am...when the race starts.
Addresses
For parking (with Parking Pass. You must have the printed, blue parking pass). Use either address. The first address has slightly more parking spaces...
For runner drop-off:
For parking at the remote lot to get the shuttle:
The shuttle runs continuously from 4:00am to 2:30pm. Spectators may use the shuttle after 5:15am.
Bag Check
We have a bag check where you can leave a sweatshirt or jacket, or other items that you want us to hold while you are running. You can label these with a bag tag (that we provide) and write your bib number on the tag, but you must bring YOUR OWN BAG. You can drop your bag off at the well-marked "Bag Check" tent in the race village just before you line up in the corral. Please do not leave valuables or fragile items with us.
PR/BQ Bell
We have a Personal Record / Boston Qualifying bell for you to ring at the finish line. Of course, if you are a first time runner, that's automatically a PR! Get a video of you ringing the bell to post on social media.
T-Shirt Swap
If you didn't get a t-shirt at the Expo or want to change the size of your t-shirt, come see us AFTER your race near the Information Tent. You'll be give the opportunity to pick from whatever shirts we still have. If you picked up a shirt at the Expo, you must bring it to swap.
Have Fun!
Congrats ahead of time on your accomplishment tomorrow--whatever it might be. Even if there are disappointments, we hope you find the opportunity to have some fun. And we hope you'll came back in future years.
Best wishes in your race,
The Tobacco Road Marathon Committee |
