Rules

Current USA Swimming technical and administrative rules and IASI policies and procedures will govern this meet. 

U.S. Master Swimming rules prevail where noted herein.

If you are unfamiliar with the technical rules used in USA or Masters Swimming regarding freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly, and backstroke this information can be found at the USA Swimming website by clicking HERE. Knowledge of these rules may help avoid disqualification.

Use of tobacco and alcohol products are prohibited in all venue areas. 

Operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open-ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. 

Certified lifeguards will be on duty at all times during the meet. Iowa Games has Mary Greeley Medical Center Personnel on standby in case of emergency. 

A meet jury/committee consisting of the meet director, meet referee, coach representative, athlete representative, and a meet official will consider any administrative protests filed at the meet. Protests against judgement decisions can only be considered by the referee and the referee’s decision is final.
