Long Course: 

• Male Ages 21-60
• Female Ages 21-60
• Male Ages 61+
• Female Ages 61+
• Two Person Team Open (all ages). 

Short Course:

• Male (all ages)
• Female (all ages)
• Two Person Team Open (all ages).

 

COMPETITION FORMAT:

• This event is appropriate for first-timers and experienced orienteers.

• Introductory instruction will be offered before the race.

• No equipment needed.

• Course distance: Long is ~ 3 kilometers; short is ~ 1.5 kilometers

• Competitors will have staggered start times. Winner is determined by fastest elapsed time.

• Participants will receive pre-printed maps at the start.

• Trophies awarded to first place in each division. Gold, silver, and bronze medals awarded to the top three in each division.

• Event will be held rain or shine.

• This event is sanctioned by Orienteering USA.

• Age determination date is July 16.
