Why we walk:
Jill was not just our sister, sister in law, and aunt, she was our best friend. We loved traveling with her. We loved her laugh and smile and her caring heart. We loved her snack bags she took everywhere she went. We love memories of vacations, concerts, beach trips, car rides, and adventures with Jilly-Jill.
She took her life tragically 3 years ago after a short battle with depression. Not a day goes by we don’t think about her. Jill was the person you would NEVER think could do this; a cliche to hear but truly, she would have been the LAST person to take her own life. And yet here we are.
We will never forget the hellacious moment we got the call about her life ending. The moment was life altering; indescribable.
SO MANY people loved Jill and we all work hard every year to FIGHT in honor of her memory to help prevent even ONE person from losing the battle to this awful disease. We all know someone who struggles with mental health; our spouse, our child, our friends, our neighbors, maybe even ourselves, and it hits HARD.

Jill walked with us in the Walk for Hope years ago to support others fighting this battle. Our family never thought we’d be doing it in her honor and memory. We know our efforts WILL prevent ONE person from sitting in this position, creating a team in their loved one’s honor/ memory.
