Why am I fundraising?

Jill’s Minions We are joining the Walk for Hope this year as a new team in honor of my mom Jill. On August 7th of this year, she took her own life after batting with depression for months and not being able to receive the proper treatment she deserved. We have lost a loving mother, wife, sister and daughter and we miss her greatly everyday. She was funny, intelligent, the #1 despicable me minion lover, the life of the party and most importantly my best friend.

We will carry on her legacy and become advocates for others who are struggling in her honor. We have to break down the stigma around mental health and fix a broken healthcare system that has failed many including my mom. We hope we can make an impact on other families by sharing our story and bringing awareness to this disease that affects our loved ones.
