My husband, Miguel, lost his battle with depression in Aug after missing for 10 days!
Miguel’s battle started with a heart attack followed by 2 back to back strokes, leaving him with Aphasia and severe depression. No anti depressive medicine or therapy helped with this due to the brain injury that occurred.

Why am I fundraising?
To try to prevent any other family from going through the horror that we went through August 10-20 2024 when Miguel went missing due to his deep depression following two strokes and aphasia in 2021. He felt hopeless and all he would keep saying is that “no one understands what I’m going through and nobody can help me!” Miguel went from a vivacious, spiritual and motivational mentor to someone who couldn’t find joy, even with hundreds of friends, and a loving family with five beautiful grandbabies. I want to help someone else and I would love for the Walk For Hope to start having funds so they could research and develop protocols for individuals with brain injury due to stroke.
