Like most races last year, the 26^th Annual Run for Life was a virtual event with 135 registrants.

In 2019 over 240 runners and walkers registered for this event which is held at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary. Rodger Shull took top honors in 17:05. Jenny DiPaolo won the women’s competition in 20:12. Ryan Kaat holds the course record for this event running 16:19 in 2011. Michelle Langan set the women’s standard of 17:39 in 2014.

Once again the event this year will be a virtual event.

The entry fee for the mile is $10 and includes a shirt.  The fee for the 5K is $25, or $30 if one wishes to order a shirt. 

To request a shirt, one must be registered by August 29th.  Shirts will be available for pickup at the Birthchoice office located at 2304 Wesvill Court, Suite 340 in Raleigh on Saturday, September 11, from 10 AM to noon.  Entrants can also request to have their shirts mailed to them for an additional $10.

Entrants can run any mile course or 5K course that they wish and will be able to post their results on line any time during the month of August. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit Birthchoice in Raleigh which has been providing services to pregnant women in the Triangle since 1971 treating every woman with respect and dignity in a loving, safe environment which she deserves.
