Don't be late! Volunteers are reassigned from registration to other areas. Anticipate early morning traffic, long pick-up lines, and even longer bathroom lines on race day.
Parking: Refer to map for parking options. Carpooling is highly recommended.

Parking is available in the parking garage behind the High School building.
Entrance to the parking garage is off of Rock Spring Road.
The start/finish line is located near the parking garage. Note, there is no bag check.
Please park no later than 7:30 am.
Half Marathon participants will be on the course at 7:30am
Free parking is available along several side streets and parking lots in downtown Wake Forest, including Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Restrooms: Porta-potties will be located next to the Expo area. There will be 1 Porta-potty located near each Aid Station on the either course.
Aid Stations: Will 5 aid stations be along the course. Each aid station will have water, Gatorade, GU Gels, and GU Waffles, along with Port-a-potties located nearby. View aid station locations on the Half Maraton Course Map Here.
Medical: We will have medical volunteers on the course and at the start/finish. When in doubt, please check in with the volunteers at the water/aid station along the course. If you require medical at the finish area, please alert a volunteer and you will be escorted to the medical area.
Course & Time Limit: There is a 3 Hour Time Limit for the Half Marathon. Pacers will be avaiable to help support your run back to the finish line. Time Limit and Pacer information can be found here.
This is an open road course: The ROADS WILL NOT BE CLOSED for this event, runners will follow the flow of traffic, staying to the right.

The Town of Wake Forest Police Officers will be along the course to help monitor traffic. Help them and our volunteers by keeping to the right as you are running along the street and trying to only run at most 2 people across for the safety of yourself and your fellow runners.
Timing Chip:
Timing bibs must be worn as directed to be officially scored; bib numbers must be worn onthe torso, with the bib number visible.
Please do not wear it under your top layer, inside a jacket, on your back or down the side of your leg. The backup timing support members need to be able to see your bib number clearly.
If your number is not visiable you will not receive an official finish time and not elgible for awards No chip, no number, no time.
You'll want your bib# visiable for our Photog. You'll be able to look up your results and race photos by bib# {bib}.
Results: Please give our Timing Crew a few minutes to update and refresh the system after you cross the finish line. It takes time to identify and remove anyone that took a shortcut, decided the 7 mile route looked better, or had someone elses bib on.

If your time does not show up, please do not race over to our timer to ask why. You will be disqualified. This not only impacts your time, but can impact the timing of others. Please do not get upset with the volunteers providing result times. They have no control over what appears on the screen. Please find an FS Series Staff member to speak with.
All timing is preliminary before 9:30am. All timing will be corrected before awards are handed out and all race director decisions are final.
Spectating: Your friends and family in town will no doubt want to see your awesomeness on the course. So besides the start/finish, where can they spectate? All courses are a loop through Wake Forest. Check out the course maps here, with cross street marked to pick a great spot for them to cheer you on.
Awards: The awards will be at approximately 9:45 am No awards/prizes will be given out prior to this time.*
Male and Female for Top 3 Overall Finishers for the 13.1, 7m and 3m will be announced. Top 3 Age Group Finishes can pick up their awards/prizes at the Results Table.
*You must be present to claim your award. If you must leave early, please designate a person to receive your award for you. Awards are not saved or mailed. Please do not email on Monday to ask, you know the answer.
Volunteers: There will be over 120, yes 120 volunteers helping out on Saturday. We cannot host events like these without our amazing volunteers, which many of whom are students. The people on the course, at the expo, handing out your bibs, and at the finish line are volunteers.
We all want to make sure everyone has a great race. If there are any concerns or compliments, please let an FS Series Staff person know, but remember many of us out there are volunteers!
This fun-filled event will feature entertainment, the Wake Forest Guild of Artists Spring Art Market, the Wake Forest Farmers Market, a tree seedling giveaway, educational opportunities, children's activities, vendors, food options, and much more!

There are lots of things that go right on race day morning and a few things that will go wrong. Focus on the positive; have fun, enjoy the cheers of encouragement, run forward, laugh at the funny signs along the course, stay hydrated and stay positive.
It’s a time for you to enjoy just being out on the course, taking time for you, and knowing you’ve burned a few calories while doing good to benefit the community.
