The Nationals Planning Committee has come up with a new and exciting format for the 2023 tournament! This new format will facilitate more individual games for everyone, as well as provide more competitive games, especially as the competition draws to a close.
To begin, National’s will be very similar to the last several years. Based on the number of players in a class, they will be put into a pool, or multiple pools, and play round robin. There will not be multiple divisions in each class as some of you may have heard.
The difference for this year, will be at the end of the competition. Traditionally, only the players that finished at the top of their pool moved on to the knockout bracket to play for the top spots. However this year players that finish lower in their pool, will also get an opportunity to compete in a bracket as well. For example, let’s say there are 8 players in a class. In the past, only the top 4 finishers would play in an elimination bracket, while the bottom 4 would be done. This year, those bottom 4 finishers will get to play for 5-8, making for more games, and more competitive games!!! Again, that is only an example, exactly how each class will end up being formatted will be dependent upon the number of entries in that class, but every position will be played out.
Once individual play finishes up for a class, we will move to team/pair. The extent of the team/pair competition will be dependent upon the numbers of players we have in each class and time left in the event
By playing individuals first this will also give players that are not on a pair/team when they get to National’s, the ability to sign up to play on one.

Registration Fee: The tournament registration expense is:
- Athlete Individual Division Only Tournament Fee: $375
- Athlete Individual & Pairs/Team Tournament Fee: $400
- Coaches, Ramp Operators, Sports Assistants Fee: $100
