Flying to and from CNC

Flying into the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU)

If you are flying to North Carolina for this year's Mountains to Coast Ride, it is recommended that you fly into the Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and plan to take the bus transportation option from Raleigh-Durham to the start of the ride in Spruce Pine. This transporation option leaves at 10am on Saturday, October 5 so it is suggested that you arrive at RDU by the evening of Friday, October 4.  Cycle NC will partner with a host hotel that will serve as the bus loading area as well.  That hotel will be announced and posted here when finalized.

For those that purchase a seat on the bus to the start of the ride, that bus will depart from Raleigh-Durham on Saturday morning.  The bus will depart from the American Tobacco Campus. Please see Participant Guide Part II for more information. Check-in will begin at 9am and the bus will leave at 10am. Included with the purchase of this transportation option is the transportation of your bike as well. All bikes will be loaded on a CNC Bike Transport Truck and taken to the start of the ride.

Anyone choosing to fly into airports other than RDU must make their own arrangements to get to the start of the ride.

Raleigh-Durham Bus and Durham Host Hotel Update:
We have finalized our host hotel on Friday October 4th and the weeklong parking location in Durham.  The Hampton Inn & Suites Durham/North I-85 (1542 North Gregson St, Durham, NC) is the exclusive hotel in the Raleigh-Durham area for Cycle North Carolina.  For reservations and rates please Click Here.  The Hampton Inn & Suites is only 22 minutes from the Raleigh-Durham Airport (airport code RDU).  Week-long parking and the bus departure point is nearby at the American Tobacco Campus.  The shuttle from the Hampton Inn will take you to the bus departure point on Saturday morning (more details in Participant Guide Part 2).

If you have, or plan to register for the bus transportation to the start, that bus will depart from the American Tobacco Campus on Saturday, October 5 at 10 a.m.  If you have utilized this option in the past, keep in mind that his is a NEW hotel/location from the past few years.
