Long track competitors will compete outdoors on the 400m Olympic Oval, where Eric Heiden won a historic five individual gold medals during the 1980 Olympics. The distances range from 500m to 3,000m.

After 3 distances, the longest distance for all classes is only opened to the top 4 skaters, and this is an overall format.

Long track is open to any athlete who belongs to the national governing body for speed skating in their country and has competed in a prior event at a published time. 

Saturday's events will being at 8:00 am and conclude around 12:30 pm
Sunday's events will begin around 8:00 am and conclude around 12:30 pm

Classes:
Pre-Scholastic A and B:  Boys and Girls (ages 7 to 12)
Distances: PSB  100m, 300m, 200m, 600m
                  PSA  500m, 700m, 600m, 1400m

Scholastic A and B: Men and Women (ages 13-18)
Distances: 500m, 1500m, 1000m, top 4 of each class 3000m.

Open: Men and Woman (19-30)
Distances: 500m, 1500m, 1000m, top 4 of each class 3000m.

Masters: Men and Women (31+)               
Distances: 500m, 1500m, 1000m, top 4 of each class 3000m.
