The Grafton Rec Go the 'Social' Distance Virtual 5k is a FREE run/walk designed to keep our community inspired to exercise and encouraged to engage socially online. This isn't a race, just a commitment to complete a 3.1 mile distance on your schedule and ability; in mulitple short distances or all at one time. Grab your sneakers, follow social distancing rules, and have fun!

How it works:

1. Create a RaceReach Account and register online from May 1 - 25, 2020. 

2. Complete a total of 3.1 miles between May 1 and 25 by walking or running (in multiple short distances or all at one time). You can use a free app like Runkeeper or Strava (that will show your distance, time your 5k and let you screenshot your race route) or just time yourself participating in the correct distance. You can run/walk/jog in your neighborhood or on your favorite trails, anywhere you want including using a treadmill, if you have one at home.

3. After you complete your 5k, login to your account and report your results by May 25 at 11:59pm.

4. Post your route screenshots and race selfies on our Facebook page by tagging us (@GraftonRecDept) in your social media posts so we can cheer you on!

5. Winners will be announced on May 29.

• The overall male and female winners will receive a $25 Grafton Grill Gift Card.
• Everyone who completes the distance and enters their results will be entered to win prizes: including a Silver Lake Beach t-shirt, $10 Bushel 'n Peck Gift Card, and $10 Cones on the Common Gift Card plus a $10 Quite Fetching Barkery Gift Card for the best photo with your dog while social distance running/walking.
