Here’s your essential packing list for GTE-57, ensuring you’re ready for the hybrid running/rucking.
Mandatory Gear:
- Rucksack (20-30L capacity) – Able to hold a 30 lbs Ruck Plate
- Hydration System – CamelBak or similar bladder (2L+ recommended) for hands-free hydration.
- Electrolyte Powder/Tablets – LMNT / Drip Drop recommended - train with it prior!
- Headlamp with Red Light Mode – Essential for night navigation and preserving night vision.
- Extra Batteries or extra Headlamp with Red Light Mode
- Glow Sticks (4) – Assorted Colors.
- 1 Gallon Milk Jug (Empty)
- 4 Canvas Sandbags (Empty)
- Reflective Bands X2 (Ruck and on person)
- Notebook & All-Weather Writing Utensil
- Carabiner
- Working gloves
- 50 foot paracord
- Government issued Identification Card
- 3X5 Notecard w/ Hospital Name, DOB/ Emergency contact info, relevant medical information, vehicle make/model/license plate info, parking location, key location.
Recommended Gear:
- Hat/Buff – For sun protection during the day and warmth at night.
- Snivel Gear- Appropriate layers for the weather and training evolutions.
- Energy Gels/Caffeine/Snacks – Quick fuel to sustain endurance.
- Duct Tape/Body Glide – Prevent and treat blisters and hotspots.
- Compression Sleeves/Socks – Reduce fatigue and improve circulation.
- First Aid Kit/Foot Care Kit – Include bandages, pain relievers, and any personal meds
