Table Tennis
 
Overview:
 
Early Bird Entry Fee: $35 (until January 1, 2026)
Entry Fee: $45
Additional Event Fee: $25 per event
 
2026 Table Tennis competition is not sanctioned by the USATT and all ages and ability levels are welcome to compete.
 
Events: Singles/Doubles/Mixed Doubles
 
Eligibility:
 
Eligibility: Since the 2026 State Games of America (SGA) are hosted in State College by the Keystone State Games, ALL PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENTS CAN REGISTER for the SGA just like they would for traditional Keystone Games Events. 
 
In addition, due to the NCSG Neighboring State Policy, athletes from DELAWARE, MARYLAND, NEW JERSEY (Except for Figure skating which is hosted by the Garden State Games), NEW YORK (Except for Figure skating which is hosted by the Empire State Winter Games), and OHIO, CAN REGISTER for the 2026 SGA.
 
Non-Keystone Games Eligible Athletes: YOU MUST QUALIFY!
 
If you’re an athlete coming from one of the other 30+ National Congress of State Games (NCSG) Member State programs, qualification is more extensive. Here’s how you may have qualified depending on the year you competed in an NCSG Member State program:
  • 2024: All gold, silver, and bronze medalists qualify from NCSG Member State programs, both Winter and Summer.
  • 2025: All gold, silver, and bronze medalists qualify from NCSG Member State programs, both Winter and Summer.
  • 2026: (before July 1): All gold, silver, and bronze medalists qualify from NCSG Member State programs, both Winter and Summer.
  • Any medalist from the 2022 and/or 2024 SGA qualifies to compete at the State Games of America in State College 2026.
Note: Any athlete who has qualified in any event within a particular sport will be eligible to participate in all applicable events within said sport. i.e. A Track & Field athlete who only qualifies in one event in Track & Field, would be eligible to enter as many events within Track & Field allowed by the sport, or Gymnastics that qualifies in one event is eligible to participate in the all-around competition, etc. at the SGA 2026.  Click Here for Additional Eligibility Requirements
 
Divisions:
 
Age Divisions for Males and Females:
Youth Division: ages UNDER 18
Open Divisions: 18-29, 30-39, etc
 
1. Players must provide their own paddles. Balls will be provided.
2. Athletes may compete with only one partner per event.
3. The age division of competition for doubles will be determined by the younger age of the two partners.
 
Format:
 
1. Tournament format will be round robin (pool play), with as many players as possible advancing to a single elimination championship bracket.
2. USATT rankings (if available) will be used to assist in pool seeding. Players with a known or OBVIOUS ability levels will be assigned a 'temporary' rating accordingly.
4. The tournament director reserves the right to combine or modify the tournament format for any age division based on entry numbers, space restrictions, or other circumstance.
5. Play shall consist of a five game match. The winner shall be the first player to win three games.
6. Throughout the match play shall be continuous, with a two-minute break between games.
7. Time permitting - Upon completion of all age events, participants will be entered FREE into a single elimination SINGLES segment which will be divided into either an 'A' or 'B' division, dependent only on 'ability' levels.
 
 
Rules:

2. White, yellow, gold and orange shirts, shorts or jackets are not permitted for competition, per USA Table Tennis rules.
3. EQUIPMENT: No sandpaper, wood only or ‘sponge only’ paddle surfaces permitted. All rackets/rubber are subject to inspection.
4. The expedite system shall not be in effect, with the following exception. The tournament director may invoke the system to keep the tournament on schedule. The system may be placed in effect during a match but must not be placed in effect in the middle of a game.
