COMPETITION FORMAT:

Before registering for the Kansas Senior Games, please read the official rules and policies here.

Events include Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

Competitors must provide their skill ratings upon registration.  The skill ratings are divided into three divisions: Division I - 5.0, 4.5, Division II - 4.0, Division III - 3.5 and below.  If there are not enough athletes in an age/skill division, the athlete would move up or down depending on the numbers in each group at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

Competitors are required to provide their own paddles. Balls will be provided.

Athletes must wear proper court shoes.

Partners must each designate the other on their entry forms. No partners will be assigned and no partner changes may be made after the entry deadline. Each partner must register separately.

Athletes may compete with only one partner per event. (Doubles and Mixed doubles are classified as different events)

Age/skill doubles and mixed doubles will be determined by the higher skill player and the lower aged player of the two partners as of December 31, 2023.

Check-In will begin an hour before competition both Friday and Saturday.

Dura 40 yellow balls will be used.

Depending on the number of entries the competition format will be decided by the Sport Commissioner.

All matches will be conducted in accordance with the USA Pickleball Association rules, except as modified herein. Please visit http://www.usapa.org/ifp-official-rules/ for a copy of these rules.

Rain Date will be Sunday, September 10, 2023.

Pool Play Tiebreakers: 1) Head To Head. 2) Point Differential. 3) Coin Flip.

 

Join us for the Kansas Senior Games at Hughes Park, 725 SW Orleans St, Topeka, KS Sept 8-10, 2023.

Teams will compete in round robin tournament (one game to 15 points, win by 2 points) followed by single elimination for top teams.

 

FRIDAY, Sept 8 - Mixed Doubles, Skill levels 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 - Ages 50+

SATURDAY, Sept 9 - Mens/Womens Doubles, followed by Mens/Womens Singles

SUNDAY, Sept 10 - Inclement weather make-up date

 

Skill levels: Division I - 3.0-3.5, Division II - 4.0, Division III - 4.5-5.0

Ages 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-80, 80+

If there are not enough athletes in an age/skill division, the athlete will move up or down depending on numbers in each group, at the discretion of the tournament director.

 

Players must register within 7 days of their partner, or will be moved to the waitlist until both players are registered.

The tournament will be played on permanent outdoor pickleball courts.

If there is inclement on either Friday or Saturday, rain date will be Sunday (Sept 10).

There will be NO REFUNDS of entry fees except for the following:  Entries received after the deadline, entries received after the maximum number of teams are bracketed, or if there are not enough teams or individuals to form a division.  Please note the KSG reserves the right to combine multiple divisions or age groups to form a complete bracket or schedule (refunds will not be offered in these instances).  Refunds will not be issued simply because an athlete fails to participate.
