TEAM ROSTERS & WAIVERS:
After your team captain has registered and paid for your team, they will be give a TEAM CODE that will be assigned specically for your team. This TEAM CODE will need to be distributed to ALL members of the team. When registering you will mark that you are a 'Team Member' and then input your TEAM CODE, this will automatically assign you to your team. You will need to complete the registration and sign the waiver. Your coach will receive an email that you have registered.Teams must check in at least hour one prior to their first game. Roster limit of 12. Minimum of 6. Teams must be all of one gender.
COMPETITION FORMAT
- Teams are no longer limited to the number of the out-of-state players on their rosters. It is the captain’s responsibility to declare team residency subject to KSG approval, at the time of registration
- All registration and team rules apply to non-playing coaches, non-playing captains, and non-playing bench personnel.
- Athletes may compete with only one team per sport.
- Age division for all competition will be determined by the age of the youngest team member as of December 31, 2024
- Tournament format will include preliminary round robin pool play leading to an elimination bracket championship final. A championship final flight system maximum of three skill divisions based on number of teams in each division and pool play results will be utilized.The following divisions maybe used, Division I –(highest level), Division II -and Division III. The final playoff format will be determined at the discretion of the Kansas Senior Games. If entries are not conducive, a double elimination tournament will be played within the age group.
- In age groups where single teams are entered, that team will be given exhibition opportunities with the closest age group. A single team entry will be an automatic winner and will not detract from the record of any opposing team in another age group.
- Net height shall be in accordance with USA Volleyball rules. In Men's 50-54: 7”11 5/8”. In Men’s 55-69: be 7'9 5/8". In Women's 50-59: 7’2 1/8". In Women’s 60+: 7”.
- All competition will be the best of 3 set matches. First two sets to 25.. Third deciding set to 15, starting 0-0.
- Teams will be required to provide line judges and score keepers during competition.
- Team clothing must be of like design and color. It is recommended that team shirts be numbered both on the front and back.
- A team must have at least five players present to start a game, otherwise the game is forfeited. A five minute grace period will be allowed to assemble a minimum of five players. The sixth player may enter upon arrival. In the event of injury, a team may continue/finish with a minimum of four players on the floor.
- Teams competing with only five players shall always have three players on the front row. No service rotation penalty shall be assessed for not having six players.
- To win a match, a team must win two out of three games.
- USA Volleyball rules governing tie-breakers will be used. 1) Head to Head. 2) Head to Head Point Differential. 3) Total Point Differential. 4) Coin Flip.
- Game balls will be provided.
