Paint arrows on routes. Two people per vehicle. One drives and one stops and paints. Switch off. Keep windows rolled at least halfway down. Paint is placed 300 feet before the turn at the warning sign (IE: Stop ahead), at the turn (approx 8-10 feet before) and 100 feet after the turn for verification. Mark potholes and rough spots for bicycles. (white paint). Mark tracks. Mark for SAG stops. Mark clearly coming out of SAG stops May be done any time prior to ride, preferably 7 days in advance. Don't mark on wet pavement. If all routes go through area, mark for all routes for efficiency.

Meet at EXTRA STORAGE 1309 New Hill Rd, Holly Springs to organize and prep rest stops. divvy up and box food. Prep non-food items, etc

Load gear sales bins at Carolina Brewery. Need 2 at brewery to load first.

Remove items from trailer and organize for the various rest stops, plus assist with setting up registration. Move tents and tables and chairs into place Volunteers for this job can also ride.

Assist with parking, mostly by directing participants to parking lot based on diagram to be provided. 5 lots available plus overflow.
6:30 - 8:00 will be Downtown Sanford Lots. ONCE FULL, direct riders to OVERFLOW LOT.
7:30 - 9:00 AM OverFlow Lot

NOTE TIME TO ARRIVE at Hugger Mugger to Pick up your supplies.
Bring a chair. Please plan to pick up and return your Rest Stop supplies near the Registration tent behind Hugger Mugger. Bring a Chair. Set up tents and tables per Map in handbook. Prepare and distribute food and drinks at rest stop. Tear down and load in your car, return to Hugger Mugger. Rest stop stays open until Metric Sweeps come through. EACH stop needs two SUVs to haul the gear. (Or one SUV and a pick up truck would be preferred).
MS Credits will be allotted for the total time - pick up/ rest stop/ drop off.

Respond to riders needing assistance and transport as necessary. It's helpful if you can offer basic repair, such as fixing a flat. Must be able to carry bikes on your vehicle, including those with disk brakes. May also assist at rest stops when not responding to riders. May also transport foodstuffs if needed. Works with HAMs

Clean out coolers and ice chests and re-pack trailer. Patrol upper and lower parking areas and pick up trash. Help your event director, who's already been working all weekend! Volunteers for this job can also ride.

Manages day. Designates responsibilities, coordinates with HAMs and SAG drivers. Communicates with SAGs

Friday 4;30 PM- Meet Penny to Pick up the Delivery Truck from U-Haul 808 Center St, Apex.
Stop by CBC and pick up gear bins.
Drive truck to Extra Storage 1309 New Hill Rd, Holly Springs for loading. Drive to Hugger Mugger, Wicker St, Sanford. Park in back.
Volunteer can provide a lift back to your car at U-Haul.

Help Nancy C set up gear table, sell gear and raffle tickets. Tear down gear table and help pack up bins

Transport tents, gear etc to the NCBC Storage Unit / Extra Storage 1309 New Hill Rd Holly Springs nd help put them all way. Requires lifting.

Pick-up at 7 AM and have at registration for breakfast prep at 7:30 AM. Brueggers OPENS at 7 AM

Meet At Hugger Mugger Brewery at 7:30 AM in Sanford and help sort and load rest stop supplies into Rest Stop Volunteers cars.

Help set-up the lunch tables and Monitor the lunch tables to make sure they stay stocked and the recipients are registered Spring Fling Attendees.

Collect and haul trash bags to the Sanford Recyling/Disposal center, 2219 S Horner Blvd, Sanford.

Walk the crowd to promote purchasing bike raffle tickets for chance to win $3200 towards a new bike from Conte Bike Shops. Raffle to be held at Bike MS New Bern Sat night festivities.

Arrive at Hugger Mugger 7:45 AM to deliver supplies to Rest Stop #2. Pick up supplies at 1:00 PM and return to Hugger Mugger.

Saturday 3:30 PM -6 PM You will need to arrange transport Sat morning to Hugger Mugger for the ride. Contact Penny 919-368-2698 if you cannot find a ride in the morning. After the event, volunteers load the truck, drive to Extra Storage, 1309 New HIll Rd. Pull around the back. Volunteers will unload the truck. Return truck to UHaul. A volunteer will transport you back your house.

Pick up trailer from behind the CBC Brewery on Thomas Mill Rd, and bring to Extra Storage 2 miles away, 1309 New Hill Rd, Holly Springs. Drop trailer Friday. Return Saturday post event to bring (reloaded with supplies) trailer back to CBC Brewery
