Looking to run your fastest mile ever? We have the race for you! The Raleigh RunDown is the fastest mile in North Carolina! Starting atop Centennial Parkway and heading down, the Raleigh RunDown is your chance for a PR!
The 2023 Raleigh RunDown is Saturday, August 5th, during Sir Walter Miler Weekend!
The Men’s Course Record is 3:52.57, set by Brayden Burleigh in 2016, and the Women’s Course Record is 4:20.4, set by Katie Camarena in 2022.

When: Saturday, August 5 – Races start at 6:30pm
Where: Centennial Parkway (USATF Certified Course Map)
2 Races: Women’s Mile at 6:30pm, Men’s Mile at 7:00pm (with chip timing from Clockwork Race Timing)
Virtual: Can’t run in person, but think you have found the FASTEST MILE around? Show us!
Cost: $25 through 8/4, or $30 on Race Day

Parking: Parking will be available in nearby NC State Centennial Campus parking lots (map here) and at Trophy Brewing Co. at 656 Maywood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27603.
Transfers: No transfers or refunds will be given.
Schedule
- 5:00pm – Race Day Registration/Packet Pickup (ending at 6:15pm, by the starting line).
- 6:30pm – Women’s Mile
- 7:00pm – Men’s Mile
- 8:15pm – Awards (provided by Runologie) and Post-Race Party at Trophy Brewing Co. on Maywood.
