My husband, Miguel, lost his battle with depression in Aug after missing for 10 days!
Miguel’s battle started with a heart attack followed by 2 back to back strokes, leaving him with Aphasia and severe depression. No anti depressive medicine or therapy helped with this due to the brain injury that occurred.

Why am I fundraising?
My husband Miguel lost his battle with depression after he went missing for 10 days. His health issues (heart attack in 2019 lead by back to back strokes in 2021), caused severe depression. Miguel went from a vivacious and motivational man to a man who felt that no one, or any antidepressant nor therapy could help bring him back to anything that resembled his original self. His second stroke caused aphasia which is a brain injury that affected his ability to articulate his thoughts correctly, especially when it came to numbers. This was extremely difficult for him to grasp and he often said that he felt that Nothing could help him.
