Walk for Hope Rules & Safety
Participant Safety

The health, safety, and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and participants is of the utmost importance to us. Please review our safety requirements below, and feel free to call us at 919-781-9255 if you have any questions. Please note these are not comprehensive and may be updated at any time.

No Pets

Please leave all pets at home. Only certified service animals are welcome on the buses and the Angus Barn property.

Drop-Offs & Rideshares

Absolutely no drop-offs at the Angus Barn. Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) and personal drop-offs have a designated lot at 9521 Lumley Rd (Triangle Pinball Collective). Please use this turnaround lot for drop-offs and pickups. No parking is available in the Drop-off lot.

Youth, Student & School Teams

Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other appointed adult at the Walk and Festival. Youth/School/Student teams must have at least 1 adult on site for every 5 students/minors under 17 years old. Youth cannot be unsupervised or unaccompanied.

For enjoyment and safety, Youth/School/Student teams are capped at a maximum of 100 team members (no more than 86 youth/students and at least 17 adults).

Additional rules may apply. Please contact Shelley Belk, Executive Director, for more information.

Please review our participant waiver before joining us at the Angus Barn on Sunday, October 12th.
