Competition Information

Competition Format

Format will be round-robin (generally one game to 11, win by 1) or double elimination (best 2 of 3 to 11, win by 2). Iowa Games reserves the right to choose or modify the format based on the number of participants. Age &/or skill groups may be combined where an age &/or skill group has limited participants.

During registrations players will be asked to rate themselves.  If registering via mail please include your rating on your entry form.

1.0 (Recreational)
1.5 (Recreational +)
2.0 (Rec. to Novice)
2.5 (Novice)
3.0 (Intermediate)
3.5 (Advanced)
4.0 (Advanced +)
4.5 (Elite)
5.0 (Pro)

Each member of a doubles team must complete a separate entry form and pay the entry fee. If playing doubles, all players must indicate who their partner is on the entry form. Individuals wishing to be assigned a doubles partner should indicate ‘Need Partner’ on entry form. The tournament director will attempt to assign a partner.

Sport Specific Information

Pickleballs will be provided.  Players must provide their own paddle.

Onix Orange Fuse Indoor Pickleballs will be used for this tournament. 

Age Determining Date

November 8, 2025

Doubles and mixed doubles age divisions are determined by the youngest player’s age.  (i.e. One player is 50 and the other player is 65, you would be eligible to sign up in the 50+ group).

*You are welcome to register for any age-based bracket you qualify for. Age-based brackets have a beginning age only and a participant (or the younger of two in a doubles pair/team) may be no younger than the starting age (for respective brackets).
