For the 14th Annual North Hills 5K we're going VIRTUAL!
How to Race:
Once one has registered, a participant can run/jog/walk any 5K course during the period from August 21 through September 14. One can download the official course map here and run the traditional course or select another 5K location that would be more convenient. Participants can keep time themselves and then submit their times on this web site. Details on how to submit times and also when and where to pick up one's t-shirt will be e-mailed leading up to the open racing period.
Why Race:
Proceeds from the race go to support the Backpack Buddies program through North Raleigh Ministries. North Raleigh Ministries strives to meet the needs of families and individuals with emergency situations who live in North Raleigh. Through the Backpack Buddies program, North Raleigh Ministries helps combat food insecurity experienced by children in our local schools.
Race History:
Now in its 14th year, this race had over 260 participants finish the 5K last year. Sam Montclair won the 5K race in a course record 16 minutes flat, while Jennifer Dipaolo was the top female with a 20:41 clocking.
