On April 27, 1988 my dad and his sibling lost their mother, Norah Larsen Jones, to ALS. She was 60 years old.
My grandmother's life had a massive impact, both inside and outside of our family. She helped found the first hospice system in Georgetown County, S.C. For years she would check in on every family that Hospice aided.
My dad says he never heard her say a bad word about anyone, and that she was as genuine as she was kind.
I'm so excited to run in her honor, and raise money so that families like mine don't have to worry about losing someone to Lou Gehrig's disease in the future.
