The Goat
Trail run through, up, over, and around Goat Hill in Uxbridge, MA (trail head is right across from Tri-River Medical Center) on Saturday September 19, 2020. in 2020, there will just be a 10k and Half Marathon option through a 10k loop. Each loop is approx 1000 ft of elevation gain!
Staggered start times
Half (2 loops) - 9am
10k (1 lap) - 9:15am
(*must start 2nd lap for the Half Marathon by 10:45 (1:45 after start))
The 10k loop goes right through the main venue area, so runners can will have a designated bag-drop area for personal fueling & supplies right next to the venue aid station and get cheered on by all the spectators.
Note: This is not an easy course. The vast majority of the trails are singletrack, but not overly technical, and not many flats (just under 1000 ft elevation gain per 10k loop). We think it's also a beautiful course, when you take the chance to take your eyes off the trail and look around. They are trails however, so there are roots and rocks - this is NOT a crushed gravel rail bed type of course. Mountain bikers that ride (and created) these trails classify them as "flowy". Personally, we think you'll love them.

FAQS
Q: What is the race cancelation policy?
A: To ensure the safest event for the participants and all involved, we reserve the right to cancel, delay, or modify the format of the event at anytime. Believe us, it would have to be a very, very SERIOUS and DANGEROUS situation for the event to be canceled. But in the unfortunate situation this is required, there is a no-refund policy in place, as the majority of the costs have already been incurred to host the event and when associated, we do not want to take away any contributions to our charities. We expect you to be disappointed if the event is canceled, as we will be, but we also hope you understand why a no-refund policy is in place.
Q: Are there any refunds or transfers?
A: Sorry, all registrations are final; there are no refunds or transfers to other participants. Up until 10 days before the event, you can transfer your paid registration to another future event, for a small fee. Please see the Transfer page for full details. If you are unable to do the event please let us know ASAP so someone else can take your spot.
Q: Are strollers, joggers, pets, etc allowed on the course?
A: Due to insurance purposes and the safety of all participants, and the obvious reason of the terrain of the trails, we cannot allow strollers, joggers, pets, etc on any of the courses at all.
Q: How many participants will be allowed to register?
A: The race capacity is 300 people.
Q: Is the event chip-timed?
A: No. We use an on-line application called Webscorer to manually track when you cross the finish line, then the application automatically computes the overall finish times an Age Division placement.
Q: How many water stations are on the run course?
A: There will be one (1) aid station on the loop (about 1/2 way) and one (1) at the venue right next to the designated bag-drop area. Water and Tailwind will be available both at the venue and the remote aid station. Additionally, the remote aid station will be stocked with chips, pretzels, gummy bears, PB&J, and ice. The main venue aid station will be stocked with the same items, plus more like boiled potatoes, watermellon, bananas, granola bars.
