Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026, for the 14th Annual Day of the Dead 5k & Street Festival—a vibrant celebration of culture and community in Downtown Raleigh, all in support of the Fox Road Boys & Girls Club (formerly Brentwood Boys & Girls Club).

Founded by Angela Salamanca, owner of Centro Mexican Restaurant, the event begins at Centro with a USATF-certified 5k through historic Oakwood Cemetery. Runners can compete for overall and age-group awards, then celebrate with a complimentary cookie from Tiff’s Treats and, for participants 21 and older, a free craft beer courtesy of Trophy Brewing.

The celebration continues with a free street festival on Wilmington Street between Hargett and Morgan streets. Explore local vendors offering crafts, baked goods, clothing, ceramics and more; grab delicious bites from Centro or the food trucks; and enjoy music, traditional dancers and family activities. Our beautiful Día de los Muertos ofrenda (altar) invites you to honor loved ones, and our famous dance-off costume contest promises fun for all ages.
