Darlington Raceway, nicknamed The Lady in Black and the track Too Tough To Tame, is home to the award-winning Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR and  annually hosts two NASCAR Cup Series race weekends, along with the NASCAR Xfinity Series and/or NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Opening in 1950, Darlington Raceway is “A NASCAR Tradition” and NASCAR’s original superspeedway with its famed 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval, challenging the sport's best in one of the most iconic NASCAR races, the Southern 500®. Rusty Wallace, Hall of Fame NASCAR driver, who raced at Darlington 43 times and never won, was known to say that as soon as a driver started racing his competitors and not the track, he was about to hit the wall. Many, many drivers have carried the famed "Darlington Stripe" on their cars as a testimony to her nature. (For more information about Darlington Raceway, visit darlingtonraceway.com.)

Over the last two years, the Darlington Raceway has teamed up with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) to continue the tradition begun in May 2022 — bicycles on the speedway! Join us as we continue hosting this exciting event for one of the world's most important charities.

We heard you - this year, we have worked with Darlington Raceway to reschedule the event such that it doesn't occur on race weekend. In doing so, you should now be able to secure hotel lodging if you need it, we can start a little later, we can park in the infield and we can start and finish on the track. These factors should make it much more relaxed and enjoyable for cyclists, volunteers and everyone involved.

Cyclists will can now complete nearly three laps around the speedway prior to exiting the track through the tunnel and riding on their choice of short (+/- 18 miles), medium 1 (+/- 35 miles), medium 2 (+/- 45 miles), metric century (+/- 65 miles) and English century (+/- 105 miles) routes. After completing their selected route, they will return to to the track for track laps and cross the famed start / finish line at "The Lady in Black,"

As always, we will provide showers for post-ride refreshing.

Registration includes:
  • Event parking - IN INFIELD OF TRACK!
  • Cycling Ride Route of your choice with support
  • Lunch
  • Event giveaways
Would you join us for what promises to be a fantastic event?
