Starting Line-Whitin Community Center

Volunteers will help check in race participants, direct race participants, and supervise 8:30 a.m. start of race.

Transition Site 1 - Rice City Pond, East Hartford Ave, Uxbridge, MA

Volunteers will assist in the transition from street run to mountain bike. Duties will include directing and encouraging participants, spectator and traffic control, and recording transition times of teams, for arrival from street run to departure of mountain bike leg in West Hill Dam.

Transition Site 2 - River's Edge Complex, 135 Davison Ave, Woonsocket, RI

Volunteers will assist in the transition from street bike to run on paved bikeway, then run to paddle and then paddle to street bike. Duties will include directing and encouraging participants, spectator and traffic control, and recording transition times of teams, for arrival from street bike to departure of street bike leg to Douglas State Forest in Douglas, MA.

Volunteers will assist in helping arriving street bikers to transition to runners on the Blackstone Bikeway.

Volunteers will assist Head Timer Richard Nolan at the Finish Line of the race, and will help record times as teams cross the finish line.

Volunteers will help with setup, meal tickets distribution, WCC table, breakdown, and cheer on participants as they complete the race!

Course Photographers

Volunteer photographers will be assigned to take pictures at various locations on the course or to get some photo at each transition site moving on to another until at finish line. After race photo will be able to be uploaded or give us a memory card.

Volunteer T-Shirt

All registered volunteers will receive a free volunteer tee shirt, to be worn on the day, if registered prior to 8/25/24. After this date t-shirts will be limited on a first come, first serve basis. Each Volunteer will also receive one meal voucher on the day of race at finish line. Volunteer must collect their own meal voucher at voucher table. T-shirts may be available for pickup prior to day of race. Please make sure you show up on time to allow for instruction for assigned job. If choosing to volunteer at more than one site(or job), please make sure times do not overlap.
