Who We (NCRC) Are
The North Carolina Roadrunners Club, founded in 1979, has been an integral part of the Raleigh running community for over 40 years. We're a nonprofit group that supports other nonprofit groups in our community. Our signature annual events are the Run for the Roses 5K in February, the Snoopy's social run in February (pictured above), the NCRC Classic Half Marathon and 10K in May, and the American Tobacco Trail 10-Miler and 4-Miler in October. Beneficiaries of these events include Team Red, White & Blue, Four Paws and a Wake Up-NC, SPCA of Wake County, the Umstead Coalition, the nOg Run Club, the American Red Cross, and the Triangle Rails-to-Trails Conservancy. We also traditionally have quarterly Adopt-A-Highway pickups, volunteer rewards, a spring cookout, and monthly social runs, including a July sunflowers run and a December Christmas lights run. We support Tobacco Road Marathon, the City of Oaks Marathon, and Sir Walter Miler. Members also get running-related discounts and a free digital newsletter six times a year. Members also have the option of participating in a 1,000 Mile Club motivational program. Our website contains a wealth of information about running (or walking) in the Triangle.
We'd love to have you join us! Memberships are only $25 a year for individuals and $35 a year for families. Go here to join: https://ncroadrunners.org/join-ncrc/.
