About Pamlico Rose and the Center of Healing

Pamlico Rose Institute for Sustainable Communities (Pamlico Rose) advances
programs:  to 1) promote reintegration and building resilience in at-risk Veterans,
including female Veterans and 2) rehabilitate/re-utilize historic
structures to help foster community.  Pamlico Rose is a not for profit organization
and works at the intersection of community/resilience and opportunity – providing
for those in need using history and preservation as a foundation.

Pamlico Rose's initial project is Rose Haven Center of Healing (RHCH) which
consists of a historic farmhouse, barn and healing mediation and vegetable
garden that will support a varietyof efforts to promote healing and reintegration
to include “life fitness” and wellness retreats and seminars, workshops in
strategies such as gardening and woodworking and a future reintegration
residence for female Veterans recovering from substance abuse.  The Center’s
infrastructure/gardens will be available for use by local Veterans as well.
