MYRTLE BEACH MARATHON GIVES BACK

More than $3 million dollars raised for local charities since our inception!

Supporting local charities that give back to the residents of Myrtle Beach, whose unwavering support for the marathon over the past two decades is without parallel, has been at our core since our inception. The marathon supports our official charity partners in many ways, some of which include: direct cash donations, providing race entries that are leveraged by the charity as a fundraising tool, and marketing and fundraising opportunities such as complementary participation in the Health and Fitness Expo and inclusion in select marathon marketing collateral.

Toys For Tots

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, Novemberand December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

Horry County Schools

Students, parents, faculty and friends of Horry County Schools participate in the Family Fun Run each year. Thousands of dollars have been contributed directly to local schools through participation in the Family Fun Run.
