We’re so excited to have you join us for this festive, family-friendly winter tradition. To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please take a moment to read through this full event update.

Friday, December 12th from 4:00–6:00 PM
Run N Tri Outfitters - 11831 Retail Dr, Wake Forest, NC 27587
Please honor the 4:00–6:00 PM timeframe.
This is a large event, and our volunteers need time to unload supplies and set up.
Important: Run N Tri employees cannot hold or distribute packets. Please do not call the store to request an early pickup — this is their busiest season.
Packets will not arrive prior to 4:00 PM.
What to Bring for Packet Pickup
A smile, patience, Your bib number {bib}
No ID required
- Picking up for someone else → bring the person’s bib number.
- Picking up for a family → give the last name.
- Picking up for a team/group/club → bring a list of bib numbers.

Show your physical race bib and enjoy $5 off any purchase over $50 starting Friday, Dec 12.

Make a monetary donation to Tri-Area Ministry during Packet Pickup or through the donation link on the Frosty Run registration page, and you’ll be entered to win a Crossrope weighted jump rope package.
Winner will be notified via email by Monday, Dec 15th.
FROSTY RUN T-SHIRTS
If you purchased a shirt, your bib will be marked with your size. Please hand your bib to the voluneer at the t-shirt pickup area, and they will assiste you.
NOTE: Shirts not picked up after 7:45 am on Saturday, Dec 13 will be determined unclaimed and can not be mailed.
If you did not purchase a shirt, and if we are not sold out, a limited number of sizes will be available for purchase during packet pickup.

RACE DAY PICKUP
Saturday, Dec 13th from 6:30–7:45 AM (sharp)
Location: E. Owens Ave, across from Wake Forest Town Hall

What to expect Saturday:
- Morning traffic
- Long lines and
- Longer restroom lines
Please get your bib Friday if possible.
PARKING DETAILS — VERY IMPORTANT

Please review the parking map and carpool if possible.
NO PARKING in the following areas:
- S. White Street (E. Owens Ave → E. Jones Ave) These spaces are reserved for customers only. You will be asked to move.
- E. Owens Ave or Fidelity Bank Parking Lot - This is the start/finish & expo area.
No bag check is available - Please leave personal items in your vehicle.Pets:
Leashed pets are allowed.
Please:Clean up after your pet
Have someone hold them if picking up your bib or using the restrooms
Never leave pets inside your car
Donation Drop-Off Opens at 6:30 AM!Don’t show up with those spicy olives from last year’s holiday party—we all know they’re still sitting there. Grab something real, something useful, something you’d feed your own crew: canned meat, cereal, peanut butter.

Best individual and group costume will win prizes from Marco's Pizza and Run-N-Tri Outfitters.

~9:30 – Announce Youth Run Club Reconition, Costume Contest winners, Top 3 overall and Top 3 age group finishers
COURSE INFORMATION - Courses are NOT CERTIFIED
Water Before the RaceThere is no water at the start line.
Please bring what you need for pre-race hydration.Course maps are available online.
5K: 1 aid station
10K: 2 aid stations
Water + Gatorade provided.
*No restrooms on the course. Restrooms are located in the expo area.*
CHIP TIMING
Both distances use electronic chip timing. Your chip is on the back of your bib.
Do NOT:
- Bend/fold your bib
- Detach the chip or foam
- Wear your bib under layers, on your back, or on your leg
No chip = No time
RESUTLS
Check results online or via on-site QR codes. Allow up to 20 minutes for your time to populate.
- Please do not enter the timing area or approach the timers. This can affect the timing of others' along with your time, and delay our ability to provide results on time for awards to be presented.
You will be disqualified if you approach the timing area or the timers.
If you have an issue, see an FS Series Staff Member at the Results Tent.
All results are preliminary until 9:30 am.
COURSE NOTES
Courses are not USATF certified.
This is an open-road course. Roads remain open to traffic.
Wake County Sheriff Officers will be along the course to help monitor traffic for safety.
Help them and our volunteers by please:
- Staying to the far right (or left only when instructed by volunteers)
- Run no more than 2–3 across
- Follow all volunteer and law enforcement instructions
SPECTATING
Maps are available under the Course Info Menu - 10K course - 5K course, with cross streets, to identify easy viewing spots. Link Here
Please be sure to stay outside of the gray barricades to take pictures of your friends and family crossing the finish line, this is for not only your safety, but the safety of all of our participants, volunteers and staff.
MEDICAL
Medical volunteers will be on the course at each aid station and at the finish area.
If you need assistance, alert any volunteer and you will be escorted to the medical area.
COURSE TIME LIMIT
To ensure the safety of all participants and volunteers, the time limit for the 10K is 2 hours, the 5K is 1 hour and 45 minutes.
This rule will be STRICTLY ENFORCED, and you will be asked by our sweeper team to move to the sidewalk, where you will be subject to all pedestrian rules. Please do not argue with the police or the volunteers, as this is a condition of our permits.
AWARDS - Official Frosty Run Ornaments
No awards will be given out before 9:30 am, and no awards can be mailed. If you must leave, please assign someone to pick up your award.
Top 3 Overall (M/F) and Top 3 Age Groups (M/F) will be announced.
Awards are not mailed — please claim yours before leaving.
VOLUNTEERS
More than 100 volunteers are supporting this event — most of them students from Wake Forest, Raleigh, Cary, Apex & Rolesville.
Please show patience, appreciation, and kindness. Volunteers make this event possible!
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
The Frosty Run is RAIN, SNOW, COLD, or SHINE.
- If thunder/lightning occurs before the start: 15-minute delay from last lightning strike - Max 30-minute delay
- If we cannot start by 8:30 AM, the event becomes virtual
- If thunder/lightning occurs during the race: The event will be stopped
Participants must clear the course and return to vehicles and finish virtually later
- If the event is canceled before or during the race: You must pick up your medal onsite (Medals cannot be mailed)
