Reach the Triangle is a FUN, FREE, SOCIAL ride offered in place of 2018 Reach the Beach which was canceled due to the impacts of Hurricane Florence. The ride starts and ends at Inside-Out Sports where post-ride food and refreshments will be available.
This ride is open to ANYONE regardless of prior registration or participation in Reach the Beach. All cyclists looking for an early fall long-distance ride are encouraged to join!
The route will be provided and turn-by-turn instructions distributed. However, the route will not be marked or supported. All participants are encouraged to download the route onto a GPS-routing device. (Route links coming soon!)
Both the 85- and 55-mile routes will take riders through many of the favorite cycling roads in the area. Both routes will pass through Apex, Friendship, New Hill, Bonsal, and Wilsonville. The 85-mile route will circle Jordan Lake and wind through northwest Cary before returning to Inside-Out Sports.
There will not be a ride leader, a route sweeper, or a designated pace. Participants are encouraged to form their own pace groups.
Multiple opportunities for stops will be included in the route and identified in the pre-ride handout.
Hope you will join us on Saturday, September 29, 2018!
