About 1000 Friends for Hope
1000 Friends for Hope is a team of neighbors, family, and friends who joined together over 20 years ago to start Walking for Hope. Over the years our team has raised over $315,000 for the Foundation of Hope and met so many people with stories of how they have been impacted by mental illness. We continue to walk each year, reuniting for this great cause.
We hope you'll join us again this year in Walking for Hope and bringing much-needed support to this important work.
Why am I fundraising?
As a young girl, I thought that if 1,000 people each contributed $25, we could raise $25,000 for mental health research and treatment. In the years since then, our Team has raised over $315,000 for the Foundation of Hope and I have met so many people with stories of how they have been impacted by mental illness. I continue to walk each year, reuniting with our Team in support of funding for mental health treatment and research.
I hope you'll consider joining us either as a first time Walker or returning member as we Walk for Hope in 2023.
