About Team Mike Walters / J&J
Please join us as we participate together in the 36th annual Walk for Hope in honor of our friend Mike Walters. Mike worked for DePuy Orthopaedics for over 30 years and his passion for the business and work ethic was second to none. Mike had the heart of a teacher and enjoyed training new reps as well as supporting the professional development of others. His greatest accomplishment and pride in his life was raising two sons alongside his wife, Caroline.
We invite you to participate with us either in person on October 13th in Raleigh, NC or virtually wherever you may live. 100% of the proceeds from the race registration fees as well as donations towards this team page will go towards the Foundation of Hope, which is a non-profit organization who raises awareness and supports critical research for mental illness.
With the support of Mike's coworkers, friends, and family we hope to reach our goal of raising $6,000.00 for the Foundation of Hope. Our support will help fund life-changing research and touch more lives in communities, across our nation, and around the world.

Why am I fundraising?
We lost my lovely brother, Mike Walters, in 2023 due to mental health issues. I want to support organizations like this one that promote both research into the treatment of mental illness and the open discussion of it to de-stigmatize the illnesses and those suffering from them. Then, maybe, they can and will get the help they need.
